Partners in Food
2020 marks the 16th year of the Partners in Food Program.
The mission of the program is to assist in the food needs of the Posey County Food Pantries: Mt. Vernon, New Harmony, St. Peter’s God Store House, Salem Heusler, and United Caring Shelters, Inc. The proceeds of the previous year’s harvest provide the working base for the next year. Proceeds were also used to acquire and process beef cattle, hogs, and potatoes. The success of the Partners in Food ministry that feeds our neighbors in Posey and Vanderburgh County is made possible from the support of many local farmers, local corporations, and various church groups in our community.
